Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whose Life we receive our own. Through our own walk with him during Holy Week we experience the living hope of more fully realizing the experience of his Resurrection in all its presence, effects and power.
Through our Facebook page, website and You Tube at Episcopal Luling, we will collectively gather to walk the steps of Jesus during these last days.
We will remember those holy steps in our traditions of:
Maundy Thursday @ 7:00 p.m. Proper Liturgy of Maundy Thursday and Evening Prayer
Good Friday @ Noon, Stations of the Cross
Good Friday @ 6:00 p.m. Proper Liturgy for Good Friday
Easter Sunday @ 10:30 a.m.: Easter Sunday Celebration
Also on Easter we will have children’s videos for Godly Play, for digging up the Alleluia and the Holy Week-Easter Story through symbols hidden in Easter Eggs.
One of the effects of Jesus’ death on Good Friday and the Resurrection is in the Holy Spirit’s power to penetrate and destroy the isolated state of the individual—not only because of sin, but the isolation created by distance. Jesus is not bound by time or space.
Let us walk together with him, dying with him so we may be raised with him.
Peace, healing and resurrection,
